I feel like we can make use of the engine or at least try it out in our studio. All we need to do is to register as educational institution and get it for free. I don't know how compatible it is with unity, but its definitely is a hot thing right now, considering that they just released free students version this September.
Udk (aka the free version of ue4) is indeed a powerful game engine but it has a couple downsides to unity - there is zero compatability between the two as they do almost the same thing. The biggest downfall is simply the ease of use. Also it uses its own proprietary coding environment called lua where unity allows several platforms. We can discuss both later today.
